About Alieza Salzberg

Alieza Salzberg is a Talmud teacher who also specializes in creative writing. She brings a literary sensibility to text study and weaves Jewish texts into her writing workshops.

Alieza is currently studying in Matan's Advanced Talmudic Institute and is pursuing an MA in Talmud at Bar Ilan University. She has taught Gemarah at Drisha Institute in New York and Pardes Institute in Jerusalem. Alieza has recently completed an MA in Creative Writing at City College and is currently working on a book of short stories. She holds a BA in English and Psychology from Barnard College. In 2005 Alieza made Aliyah to Jerusalem with her husband Aharon Horwitz.
