Benjamin Balint is fellow at the Van Leer Institute in Jerusalem, where he is writing a history of Commentary magazine and American Jewish culture. He has contributed to the Wall Street Journal, the American Scholar, the Forward, Haaretz, the Weekly Standard, the Wilson Quarterly, and the Claremont Review of Books. He has lectured at Makor, the Hampton Synagogue, and at the Melton Adult Mini-School.
