About Pardes Faculty
The Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem immerses our students in the study of classical Jewish texts. Men and women of diverse backgrounds learn together in a rigorous, challenging and open-minded environment. This learning experience nurtures a deep and personal connection to our Jewish heritage, a love for the Jewish people and Israel, and the knowledge to become leaders in the Jewish community. Founded in 1972, Pardes is an independent institution not affiliated with any religious or political movement.
For Jewish text study in Israel, including Torah, Talmud, Halakha and Jewish philosophy, our experienced faculty present challenging courses with Havruta study for all levels. Much more than a co-ed Yeshiva, Pardes in Jerusalem offers a variety of educational Israel programs for college and post-college young people interested in Beit Midrash study in an open environment. We welcome students of all Jewish backgrounds and belief systems, including Jews who are unaffiliated, Reconstructionist, Reform, Conservative, Orthodox and post-denominational.
