About Sidney Slivko
Sidney Slivko is a senior educator, artist, and information architect. An Orthodox rabbi, Sidney became a pluralist well before the term became fashionable, and continues to teach in institutions from all streams of Judaism. Moreover, he is an incurable puzzle-solver who prefers to look at problems from many perspectives and direct diverse viewpoints into a common purpose; to think out of the box in order to find the creative solution, or travel the unexplored path.
In 2004, Sidney helped launch MASA, an exciting initiative designed to encourage young Diaspora Jews to spend a semester to a year in Israel. He designed MASA's information services network, including data base and a help center with telephone and online support. Currently, he manages MASAâ??s website, giving potential participants their first exposure to Israel's broad spectrum of long-term education programs.
His portfolio also includes years of experience in program development and research, consulting and supervision, and online education â?? as both developer and presenter.
